Ibn Gabirol Complex, Tel Aviv
The Northern Entrance to Central Tel Aviv
Ibn Gabirol Complex, Tel Aviv
The project is located in the northeastern area of Ibn Gabirol Street, between Bnei Dan Street and Piazza Milano.
The project is an urban renewal complex in a unique area that received special consideration in the Tel Aviv master plan.
Ibn Gabirol axis is a central and main north-south thoroughfare that divides the center of Tel Aviv.
The complex was mostly planned with typical urban fabric construction characteristic of Ibn Gabirol Street, featuring commercial colonnades and ground floor retail. The inner side facing Miriam HaChashmonait Street receives classic urban fabric construction, following the characterization of the inner neighborhoods in the city. The northern part of the project is dedicated to a tower atop a commercial base and public spaces, facing an urban square that serves as an entrance space to the city center.
The tower's envelope is designed as a curtain wall system, with each module angled relative to the adjacent one, giving a shimmer of facade reflections that change according to the time of day and seasons, subtly reminiscent of the rippling water and waves on the nearby Yarkon River, in a vertical manner.
The project passed the City Engineer's forum and is currently on hold.
