Pinkas and De Haas Corner, Tel Aviv

A Tribute to the White City

Pinkas and De Haas Corner, Tel Aviv

The project is located along Pinkas Street, one of the main cross streets in the northern part of Tel Aviv. The building pays homage to the materiality and elements of the White City: moucharabieh screens, white plaster, and exposed concrete.
Situated on a corner lot along a public space, the building faces east and south.

The white residential building with a double-skin façade on its eastern and southern sides, features an outer moucharabieh “veil” that shades the façades exposed to sunlight from these directions.

The outer skin is composed of perforated moucharabieh panels in several different patterns, creating both a functional shading solution and a sculptural presence in the urban space, visible by day and illuminated at night.
The ground floor and penthouse levels are constructed with board-formed concrete.
