Balconies and Rhythm in the White City
Pinkas 11-13, Tel Aviv
This project is part of a series of developments along Pinkas Street undertaken by Gal Marom Architects, with each one addressing the city through a different conceptual lens based on its location along the street.
For this project, the main challenge was designing balconies for a wide frontage along one of Tel Aviv’s main streets. The design process addressed the perception of building mass and street frontage in the context of such an extensive façade.

All balconies provide complete privacy despite their close placement side by side. Privacy is achieved by creating balcony lines that curve and shift along the street façade, ensuring that each balcony is visually shielded from the next.
The building’s recessed ground floor, featuring landscaped areas, and the penthouse level are clad in concrete, while the rest of the structure is finished in smooth white plaster.
The building includes 49 apartments of various sizes, as well as shared facilities for residents. The core planning concepts for the project are building and community.
