The unanimous decision of UNESCO’s 21-member council recognized the area—planned some 70 years earlier (between the 1930s and 1950s)—as having preserved its unique character, granting it outstanding cultural and architectural value. The declaration formally acknowledges Tel Aviv as one of the world’s most significant representations of International Style (Bauhaus) architecture.
The project consists of a 6-story residential building above a recessed, landscaped ground floor. The finishing materials reinterpret Tel Aviv’s traditional plasterwork.
the façades are clad with vertically oriented white panels in varying sizes, while the ground floor and its landscaped interface are treated with vertically board-formed exposed concrete.
