Urban Block Around a Grove - A Building Surrounding a Three-Dimensional Inner Grove
Jabotinsky 135-137, Tel Aviv
The project is located in the second ring surrounding Kikar Hamedina on the eastern side, along the main Jabotinsky axis.
The plot covers a large area of 1,860 square meters.
An initial observation of the spatial context shows that the building is part of the external façade structures surrounding Kikar Hamedina's circle, adjacent to the main east-west axis connecting Namir Road to Ibn Gabirol Street.
The plot is part of a typical Tel Aviv residential block encircling a dense inner grove, unique to the area.
The new building forms a barrier between the grove, which is not visible at all from the surrounding streets, and the main street.
The building is nine stories high with two wings surrounding a dense, three-dimensional patio visible from all the structure’s internal parts.
The building references an urban situation in a single structure—a block around a grove, a building surrounding a three-dimensional grove.
